This thesis journey started with an unquenchable desire of exploring more about my religion and cultural values. I wanted to go beyond the known to discover the knowledge of the unknown. In Hinduism, this knowledge has tangible and intangible aspects which consist of the real and cosmic world. This thesis investigates sacred architecture as a setting that inspires reflection and contemplation, a place where the Hindu minority can celebrate their culture and seek Vedic education which has been lost among Pakistani Hindu practitioners.

These plans follow sacred Hindu Geometry called the Navagraha Mandala. The activities for the following scheme are divided into sacred and profane. The basement consists of sacred activity like Pooja Path etc, whereas the ground floor consists of celebratory activities such as Holi, Diwali and it also acts as learning space for children.

The rectangular block in north is dedicated to women of the community where they have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills.

Section A-A’ shows the relationship between the basement and the ground floor.

Here, the journey of the whole space has been curated through a collage where the quality of spaces can be seen. The Study of light and shadow is also explored through these images.
