Safaed is a website which aims to highlight the triumphs of marginalized people in our society. Currently there is no website in Pakistan which is dedicated solely to amplifying the voices of marginalized communities. Considering the global climate which has led to international as well as local movements receiving attention and widespread activism resulting in such advances as the acceptance of transgender people as a seperate gender by the Pakistani goverment; this is an opportune moment to shed light on the progress of and educate people on issues faced by marginalizd communities and their successes.

Photojournalistic series containing work of Jewish Architect Moses Somake: Mule Mansion. Mules Mansion was built in 1917 to serve the porters of Karachi Port Trust. Somake used Renaissance and Anglo-Oriental methods of architecture in a distinctive style. Once one of the grandest and most recognizable buildings in Karachi. Is now being eaten away by pollution and dust.

Places that were frequented by the city’s artists and literary icons.

Layout and content are adaptable to different devices and browser widths. Elements change dynamically hence the grid will systematically align and arrange the content according to the hierarchy.Multiscreen behaviour is especially important today as 90% of all media interactions are screen based.
My Little village is a two minute video surrounding the life of a kalash girl who struggles to navigate through life as a young Kalasha with hopes of getting higher education. This story is written by Sayed Gul Kalash.
“All Humans Cry The Same Tears” is a video narrated by Bebo haider. In this video we see her raw emotions as she explains all the ups and downs of being a Transgender woman in Pakistan and how everything eventually led up to “Trawah” (Pakistan’s first trnasgender run beauty salon).
