This thesis explores how social and physical structures create a shared public space within an urban residential neighborhood. It is crucial to understand how the available spaces at a neighborhood scale can bring about or facilitate the augmentation of meaningful experiences for all neighbors in its context. This is done through the provisioning of utilities which can foster positive community ties and reinforce the urban fabric through social sustainability. By reimagining these spaces as social connectors, available spaces can become catalysts to invoke a sense of belonging and strengthen the community bond for strong social relationships.
