What if fleeting moments of our lives are signs, symbols or marks that hold more meaning or are deeper than what they appear to be? With this thought, I began looking at significant moments in my daily life to form a calendar of markers that map out the self. By imagining these moments as allegories, I speculate that they reveal more about myself, my personality and my characteristics. My inquiry stems from symbolism, superstitions myths and legends that I have grown up observing and absorbing as a Shia-Muslim in Karachi.
