Redesigning online shopping experience (fashion ecommerce)

The concept of online shopping has changed the practice of real-time shopping where various elements of the shopping experience have been translated into the digital world. Even though online shopping provides convenience for the users where buyers can avoid crowds, transport costs, and can easily compare prices, however, this transition has removed the traditional steps of how individuals shop physically, leaving them frustrated and unsatisfied. Pain points such as sizing, being able to make the right decision from too many choices, touching and feeling the fabric before buying, and the social aspect of wanting someone’s second opinion before making a choice exist within these digital experiences. This has overall dehumanized the user journey as to how they would shop usually and have made the overall process less empathetic. The aim of this project was to be able to translate the physical shopping practices into digital models and incorporate interactions that give the user the luxury to access the shopping experience right from their comfort zone. Fit hai is an online shopping platform for clothes where people can come and get their perfect size. This platform creates a customized mannequin for every user as well connecting them with their friends/family to share their thoughts with each other on clothes by accessing each other’s wishlist. This makes the overall process very customized and also creates a community solely for clothes at the same time.
