Thesis Title:

Wound Healer مندمل: گھاؤ بھرنے وال

Project Title:

Experiencing nature through a curated journey to address trauma

Location:

Sir Sher Shah Suleman Rd, adjacent to AKUH Sports Complex

User Group:

Soldiers and Veterans of the Armed Forces and their families.

The Armed Forces are affected physically, mentally and emotionally. This project looks into the mental damage that veterans and their families go through. Even physical damage, like the loss of a limb or hand, leaves a deep mental scar. And accepting this change has a much steeper curve psychologically than physically. The architecture shall focus on healing, while the program is disguised with something that aids the healing process but not label the victims as patients. Nevertheless, the focus of the project is not just the armed personnel—instead of their close family and relatives as well! As the damage transcends the emotional and mental baggage to their family.
