Orphan spaces are spaces which are underutilized and their intended function is no longer relevant to the context they are sitting in. When does a place become a space? And can this be reversed? I am attempting to nurture these spaces by restoring their sense of place' for the neighborhood. The space will be designed by bringing back the design elements, memory and vibe of the original place. Orphan spaces thrive when neighborhoods adopt them. This project brings back the memory and legacy of Park towers, Karachi. A place which holds great historical importance among the landmarks of Karachi. This reuse of Park towers will revive the attachment and association of people with this place through design.

What are orphan spaces
Site and site analysis New function for the site came from the context. There are numerous universities around the site. All these universities have many students coming from different cities and countries however, none of them offer accommodation for students. Hence the missing activity then becomes the new function for this orphan space
