Over the years, the use of handlooms has reduced significantly due to the dependence on power looms. Through this project I aim to promote the skill and dedication that goes into the making of handwoven khaddar whilst being able to provide for the livelihood of artisans. I have incorporated stripes and checks by using seashells as a source for colour and composition, creating yardage for apparel of various weights and textures using different thread-counts in pure cotton.
