Karachi’s mangroves are a defining feature of the coastal city. The benefits that the mangroves bring to the city are profound, though greatly overlooked. It houses hundreds of migratory birds and supports a rich biodiversity which includes the fish, molluscs and crustaceans. Unfortunately, due to a lack of care, mangroves are in great danger due a number of reasons. Therefore, I will be using mangroves and its rich biodiversity as my source of inspiration. I wish to celebrate this beautiful and unique ecosystem through a collection of colourful, fresh and happy prints.
