The essence of architecture lies in creating atmospheres; not just any atmosphere but one that relies on and makes noticeable the elements that often go unnoticed, hidden under the many layers of place. The aim of this thesis is to first interpret the elements that make up an existing atmosphere of a specific place and to then re-interpret them in ways to accentuate this atmosphere and our experience of it, keeping human mind, body and perception at the core. By molding and re-molding these elements, it sets out to define a spatial experience that best captures our peripheral vision and guides our senses.
